Melanesian Spearhead Group (MSG), The 9th Police Commissioners Conference (PCC), and the 4th Police Ministers Meeting (PMM), organized by the International Relations Division of the Indonesian National Police in collaboration with MSG member states, took place at the Fairmont Hotel in Jakarta. High-ranking police officers from Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu, as well as representatives from the MSG Secretariat, were also present. Inspector General of Police Wahyu Widada, representing the Indonesian National Police, delivered remarks emphasizing the importance of regional solidarity in addressing the challenges of transnational crime and the need for enhanced training, information exchange, and police capacity building. Meanwhile, representatives from the MSG Secretariat expressed their appreciation for Indonesia's leadership as host and expressed their confidence that the meeting would accelerate the harmonization of security strategies in the Melanesian region. The conference provided a dynamic platform to discuss important issues such as the renewal of the MSG peace and security strategy, strengthening the Regional Police Academy, and operational cooperation between the countries. In addition to the plenary session, delegates also visited the Indonesian National Police International Mission Center, demonstrating Indonesia's commitment to sharing knowledge and strengthening regional police interoperability. The event concluded with a dinner, cultural performances, and an exchange of official souvenirs.
