About This Event :

The Police Cooperation Dialogue Forum Towards Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters (MACM), hosted by the Indonesian National Police International Relations Division at the Bintang Bali Resort, Bali, brought together leading delegates from ASEAN+7 countries (such as Papua New Guinea, Timor Leste, China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and the United Arab Emirates), including delegates from the ASEANAPOL Secretariat, as well as speakers from IPSG Lyon. This important event focused on strengthening international collaboration and systematic cooperation mechanisms in addressing the significant increase in increasingly complex transnational crimes, such as human trafficking, cybercrime, and money laundering. In his opening remarks, the Head of the Indonesian National Police Criminal Investigation Agency explained the importance of collaboration between the Head of the National Police International Relations Division and the INTERPOL National Central Bureau (BIN) in each country to achieve a unified strategy in addressing cross-border threats. The meeting also provided a forward-looking platform for developing more structured and sustainable measures, ensuring that agreed initiatives can be consistently implemented to combat various forms of transnational crime more effectively. The meeting closed with a festive atmosphere, including a Gala Dinner at Window Bali Resto and a visit to Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK).
