The 2nd Joint Committee Meeting of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) and the Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, organized by the Indonesian National Police International Relations Division within the framework of police diplomacy to strengthen bilateral synergy, was successfully held at the Bintang Bali Resort, Bali. The event was attended by 12 high-ranking officials of the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Interior and 12 high-ranking Indonesian National Police officials. The Indonesian delegation was led by His Excellency Commissioner General of Police Prof. Dr. Dedi Prasetyo, Deputy Chief of the Indonesian National Police (Wakapolri), who delivered a powerful speech emphasizing that this synergy is crucial and aligned with the three main focuses of Indonesia's national policy, namely the eradication of narcotics, smuggling, and online gambling. Meanwhile, the Delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by His Excellency Major General Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Hamad, affirmed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment to strengthening strategic coordination with Indonesia in addressing cross-border threats. This major Bilateral Meeting, provides a dynamic platform to agree on concrete implementation steps formulated in the Minutes of Meeting (MoM). It was agreed that cooperation in forensic research, intelligence exchange, and personnel capacity building are essential to address the increasingly complex modus operandi of transnational crime. Implementation of the cooperation program specifically in the field of narcotics eradication will begin in December 2025. The delegates also enjoyed a dinner at the Aljazeerah Restaurant. In addition, the delegation participated in a cultural visit to the Penglipuran Tourism Village and visited the Bali Mobile Brigade Unit to witness a demonstration of Brimob capabilities.
